iNet Protector is a practical program to control Internet connection usage and web sites access. It is useful at home or office, where there are several users sharing one Internet connection or computer. With iNet Protector you can restrict internet access at specified times or on demand. You can also password protect internet connection. Timer feature allows you to disable Internet connection after a specified amount of time. You can limit which programs and features have access to the internet (for example, e-mail). iNet Protector will operate on any computer running Windows 2000, XP or Vista. It is not tested, but may work with other Windows versions.
This program is very useful to protect your kids from using Internet too much and, for businesses, to keep employees from online entertainment at work. Moreover, it is very easy to use because all his settings can be changed from his main window with just only a click.
The Schedule Dialog Box allows you to specify week days and hours when Internet connection should be disabled. And you can also set different schedules for each user of the same computer. But the scheduler is not so flexible though, since you can’t schedule different disabled time intervals for different weeks at once. The schedule remains the same every week unless you change it.
With Daily Quotas function you can assign Internet usage quotas (limits) which determine how many hours per day the Internet can be used. Or you can use the Set Timer, which allows you to enable Internet connection for a specified period of time.
Instead of blocking Internet connection completely, you can allow selected web sites to be accessible while everything else is blocked. And it is possible also to allow all connections to and from computer or server with a specific IP address.
To complete, iNet Protector can also log significant events of operation. This allows you to discover unauthorized usage or any attempts to disable protection.
